Hi Paguy,
Playing safe always mean lower standards. Sometimes risk compensates highly.
You always will find a list of negatives for every phone, most of them are subjective. Decide your priorities of what you need in a phone that is also subjective, but it doesn’t matter because is what you need and want not what others prefer.

In the other hand technology is rather objective. From that point the 3GS can’t compite with HD2.
*44% Larger screen but only a bit taller than 3Gs
*800×480 resolution vs 320×480
*5 mpx camera vs only 3 mpx in the 3GS
*Double LED flash vs NO flash (Forget pictures at night)
*1 GHZ CPU vs 600 mgz
*Removable Storage Memory vs NO removable
*Removable Battery vs No removable battery
*FM Radio vs NO Fm Radio
*FREE XDA Development & Customization vs NO personal D & C
*Multitasking vs NO Multitasking

More subjective items:
*3GS is considered the best UI. Intuitive and simple.
But some people claim HD2 screen is a better visual experience because the resolution and the size of the screen.

*3GS has an intuitive and simple navigation. Easy for any casual user.
Others may prefer the power and versatility HD2. The way Sense UI handle Contacts, emails and messages is people centered far ahead more efficient that the 3GS.

*3GS have a central point (ONLY) to get apps. That’s very practical.
Others prefer the freedom to get whatever they want from any place they want.

It’s no secret I’m going for the HD2, but you should follow the one suits your preferences better.

Just picked up my Motorola Cliq about a week ago. I was trying to decide between MT3G or the CLIQ and I went with the motorolla product. I had an iPhone and shadow previously and figured it is time to abandon HTC even though I have never had their touch screen before. I like the CLIQ for 5MP, voicemail player (no need to dial voicemail to listen to messages), qwerty keyboard (spacious, solid, comfortable after week of use), great interface and believe it or not its weight (i like my phone to be slightly heavier because I like to feel it in my hand). Compared to the MT3G the things I mentioned are not common characteristics for them both. I also like it better than myTouch because it is expandable to 32GBs of storage vs 16GB max for the myTouch which is a huge deal for me because I store a lot of files and music on my devices Smiley. I also like the fact that when you slide it out, the top part in the back has a sexy Moto logo and is lined with some sort of brushed metal I guess…. or w/e that is, but all I know it is metal and adds quality to the phone. The only things I am not happy about is its screen. It is 3.1 and is slightly smaller compared to the MT3G. The newest Motorolla (DROID) for Verizon does come with a bigger screen and the new 2.0 OS.

But because of all the other specs and parameters it makes CLIQ stand out more in my opinion, opinion based on device capabilities. As far as the OS of course I would like 2.0 or even 1.6 instead of 1.5 better. But I am certain the update will come sooner or later and willing to wait for it. This phone came out 3-4 weeks ago for god’s sake and people need to chillax with some negative comments and other forums online. It will be worth waiting for the update, and some hacks/mods even better, so developers take your time please but deliver quality to me. Find me at http://www.Motorola-Cliq.com I share everything there.

My first time (!) was with a yellow Sony Sport Walkman. My first tape was Tim Burton's Batman soundtrack - not the film score, but the one Prince did. Pure, wonderful nonsense. Of course, Batdance was the hit single; I'm embarrassed to say that Arms of Orion - the duet with Sheena Easton - was my personal favorite.

My first portable was a tape and radio, from various brands, most recently, a Panasonic. I used these along with a CD player off and on. Then, I dropped both for a mini disc player. I carted around the discs all the time. I loved that player. I still have it, and use it occasionally. The recording on it still rivals expensive devices. Then in 06, I scored an ipod out of various broken ipod videos. Currently, I have a touch, and the new archos 5 android tablet.

Actually Nokias first PC was seen at 80’s, when Nokia manufactured MikroMikko PC computers. On 1991 Nokia sold MikroMikko to ICL, later ICL merged with Fujitsu.

My first was an old JVC CD player. It was kind of square and was black with gray trim. I Used that thing for over 6 years before the lens finally quit reading anything. At that point I upgraded to a 32MB MP3 player from RadioShack (When it was still called that) with no screen. I was up town then!

I bought a toshiba walkman with the $1 a week allowance I earned. If I remember right it was 1988, and the walkman cost about $40. From there I graduated to a sony discman that I was given for christmas around 1991-2. From there I bought a Sharp MS MD-702 minidisc player in 1998. After that I stepped up to Sony's HiMD player RH-910 in 2005-06. I still own it, but it has unfortunately taken a back seat to the 80gb Ipod I bought in 2007-08. If I stilled used a PC with Windows OS, then I would probably still be packing my HiMD player around.

Sony walkman - the yellow not so waterproof one. When it got stolen I got an Aiwa, and when that died I got something else - the name eludes me, but it could blast Led Zep's In my Time of Dying from tape like nobody's business. Good times.

Ha - I'm old. My first portable was a Sony Walkman. I don't remember the model, but it was the size of a largeish paperback and had a silvertone leather case that it slid into. You could change the tape without taking it out of the case, but not the batteries which I went through at a fair clip. The headphone jack eventually got loose and if I wanted my music in stereo I had to keep my finger on the headphone plug, pressing the connector to the inside wall of the jack.

Thanks for the contest.

My first portable was a sony "sport" walkman, the yellow one with a gasket so it was sort of waterproof. The clear plastic cover busted so my brother and I glued a piece of plexiglass onto it. Still have it and bust it out for listening to old tapes. Damn solid.

My first portable was a knockoff of the original Walkman, ten years after they had ceased to be cool.

It was a faithful clone, such that it even had the dual headphone jacks.

Who ever had a second pair of headphones ? The headphones had detachable drivers, so I and a friend could listen to one channel each on the bus.

Haha! My first "portable" audio system was a Sanyo cassette player like this one! It wasn't quite cool enough to be a boom box but you could put in 4 D battery cells and carry it around on your shoulder. It played one cassette, had a little 5 band equalizer and proudly displayed the words "Stereo" on the front. It even did AM and FM - it was feature packed :P

Yamaha have been quietly plugging away at their soundbar technology for a while now, and their latest model looks to be the most alluring yet. As ever, the concept is straightforward: why have a room stuffed full of speakers when a single row of them – together with some clever digital processing – can reproduce the same effect. Targeted at TVs up to 50-inches (as well as projector setups), the Yamaha YSP-5100 packs 120W and five HDMI ports.

It means that if you are ready to pay 500-600,00€ then the Symbian is not your choice. If you prefers 100-300,00€ then Symbian is yours

goodnews for Symbian and Nokia fans but after owning a Symbian phone i will never use it again! N900 running Linux seems much more attractive, and First Else, also using Linux will be my first choice for a new phone. they have the coolest UI I’ve seen and also comes with a 3X optical zoom camera!

Projectors are usually crammed with lamps that are more like the light bulbs in your average light than the LEDs that power some devices. The big upside to LEDs is that they take less power and often offer better contrast as well.
