Even after the debut of the iPad, and all of the new releases here and there, we’re still sticking by the U1. I can’t wait until its out in June. With the U1 and upcoming IdeaPad Z Series, most likely designed for students, Lenovo is sure to steal away a good share of loyal Apple fans, if Steve doesn’t pump out something exciting, and soon.

The IdeaPad Z Series is probably going to be centered around students, although not many people have gotten word of it yet. We did a short spill on it at IdeaPad Today, referenced here > http://www.ideapadtoday.com/id.....he-bag.htm Lenovo isn’t going to stop until they’re at the top of the charts. And they’re getting pretty close.

Thinkpad x100e at a more reasonable price is a great idea in principle, for people looking for practicality at a low price.
Long overdue.
I would wait for the dual core versions, debugging of new products, and probably lower prices in the weeks and months to come, before ordering.
Lenovo just dropped their S12 $100 to $349, so we all know where prices are going to go, down, down, down,
but at the right price and refinement, the X100e should be a winner.
previous Thinkpads X series were extremely expensive, so their business model is changing, for the better, so they can survive.
computers are commodities now, and the consumer wins.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad range has a new baby brother, and while the company is now several generations through its IdeaPad netbooks, the ThinkPad X100e is the first CULV-style machine intended for mobile pros. It’s an ambitious undertaking, certainly: can the company deliver the traditional build-quality, reliability and performance expected from a ThinkPad, along with the low price expected for an 11.6-inch ultraportable? Check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

Lenovo prompted a few raised eyebrows when they introduced what’s basically a CULV ultraportable into their ThinkPad range with the new X100e, leading to all manner of questions as to whether an AMD Athlon Neo processor could satisfy the business segment. Over at Netbooked they’ve been reviewing the single-core 1.6GHz ThinkPad X100e, and while the physical design shouldn’t cause too many sleepless nights for long-time Lenovo lovers, performance leaves plenty to be desired.
