The Archos 9 PCtablet has been somewhat overshadowed by its smaller, Android-based sibling, but the French company would like to remind you that, with the debut of Windows 7, the 9-inch touchscreen “future of netbooks” is now available to buy. £449.99 ($748) gets you a resistive touchscreen, Atom Z515 processor and integrated WiFi and Bluetooth, all in a device 800g and just 1.7cm thick.

Call me an idiot but who will pay this kind of money for something that doesn’t even include a 3g modem? DVBT doesn’t even exist in Ireland so that gadget would be useless here, HDTV on an 9 inch screen is not HD and no HDMI output equal you can’t even get it on your HD TV… it comes with £80.00 worth of movies… just knock the price down by 80 quids and sell it at £370.00 and it might sell better…
I am a long time archos user but that’s a bit expensive for what it does if you ask me…

MemberI have been waiting for such a product for years and was going to buy today, but agree no 3G is a waste. Horrible marketing. How can I purchase this? Archos.com does not even have it for sale today!!!!! Will not buy this product. I will now wait for someone else to make something simular with 3G

Even Amazon, that allows pre-orders months ahead of time doesn’t have a listing.
So far, all I can see is that Archos updated the website.
