MemberI switched to Apple Mac after being a PC/DOS, then PC/Windows user and developer (beginning when the IBM PC was launched in 1983). In the end, I got fed up and couldn’t justify spending hours on the phone with customer care, searching for drivers, and dealing with Vista’s idiosyncrasies.
Segue Apple: I’m continually amazed by the quality of the Mac hardware, OS X, and the applications that were designed for the platform.
Installing Snow Leopard was fast and seamless. My mom could have installed it. It’s blazing fast; it freed up close to 30GB on the 200GB Hitachi drive in my Mac Book Pro, and it’s many features keep popping out of no where as if the OS is reading my mind.
Congratulations to Apple. Your user experience team, artists, graphic designers, and engineers are in a class of their own.
I hope corporate America takes note. The savings in time and increased employee happiness (yes, employees who spend most of their time in front of a computer will be much happier and more productive) would show up on the bottom line in a quarter or less.

MemberDon’t expect any IT manager to quickly endorse any Apple operating system, because they would lose most of their large empires.
I use both operating systems in my real estate business because most of the Multiple Listing Services are Windows based. The security issues with a Windows based systems are real nightmares and require constant updating.
Apple software engineers really got it right with their new Snow Leopard system. Our IMACs are easy to use and so much more productive than our Window based PCs.
Additionally, Apple products like the Iphone, the Ipod and the IMac, etc. would be nothing without ITUNES, SAFARI and ME.COM (Apple’s new cloud computing system).
With ME.COM video conferencing and total remote backup of all our files is now possible.
Companies can no longer afford to have large IT staff constantly fixing local windows problems. Cloud computing is the future and Apple engineers are leading the way.

Great review of Snow Leopard, but I gotta pick a major nit with your writing style. Maybe English isn’t your first language, but you continually refer to singular entities with the plural verb form and it really bugs. You say for example:
“Apple have streamlined the way…”
“something which Apple say has been…”
“Microsoft are dealing with…”This is just wrong, dude. Apple and Microsoft each have many employees, but the companies themselves are singular entities – IOW, there’s only one of each of them. Therefore:
“Apple HAS streamlined the way…”
“something which Apple SAYS has been…”
“Microsoft IS dealing with…”Get it?

British English teaches that companies and other organizations with multiple people in them (like the army….) are PLURAL nouns, and are therefore conjugated with plural verb forms.
So as you drive your lorry from the car park and onto the motorway, consider expanding your horizons before picking your nits.
