   As you may have spotted, we’ve had a serious change of style here at SlashGear this weekend.  Our new design gives us more room for bigger homepage images, better highlights feature content and editorials, and makes it easier to navigate between our network sites using the topbar.  It should also load faster, which means you can get to the latest news in consumer electronics even quicker, and has better integration with the SlashGear Forum, included threaded comments.

   I have to add though, it was Ewdison who made the final touches on the code since I ran out of battery myself =)

   The reason we dropped IE6 support is because less than 0.07 SG readers are using it, we dont see a point supporting browser that is over 5 years old
